Just sorting and organizing some Halloween-related bookmarks I've been meaning to share with you for a while now. These are "new links" to Darklinks.com, but by no means new websites. Most of these have been around for many years! Enjoy.
Halloween Horror Nights in Photographs
Photographs from many of the Universal Studios theme parks around the world. Plus occasional news and tips on auditioning for cast member roles/jobs during the Halloween season. I'm really enjoying looking through the photographs from past years.
Los Angeles Haunted Hayride
Besides the haunted hayride, this attraction features a dark maze, House of Mirrors, Scary-Go-Round, and a few other fun things. The event is held at the Griffith Park Old Zoo just off if I-5.
This Las Vegas haunt has been in business for nine years. It's held at Circus Circus, and features five acres populated by roaming scare actors, fog, laser lights, and haunted rides such as "Elvira's Superstition." There will also be live shows.
This blog reports on news, reviews and rumors of haunted attractions in the US and overseas. Currently blogging about Howl-O-Scream in Virginia; Universal Orlando's plans for 2012 Halloween Horror Nights; and Headless Horseman Hayrides in New York.
Halloween Art Guild Community
A social network for artists and collectors of Halloween art. Refreshingly, this community has a lot to offer - it's not just filled with ads by people trying to sell stuff, like many other Halloween art communities seem to be. The community prefers cutesier spooky art, not allowing gore or horror art.
Haunted Design House
A blog focusing on Halloween scrapbooking, cardmaking, and rubber stamping. Lots of readers accept the challenges here and participate, so there are always interesting photos to look at of their creations.
A social network for Arizona home haunters and the Arizona Halloween community. There's a discussion forum, a section for videos, a resource list, and events listing.
Haunt listings for attractions in the southern states (including California, Arizona, Texas and other states not usually thought of as "the South.")
A haunted trail in Cumberland, Rhode Island. It offers a special Family Fun Day on October 27 for families with kids too young to attend the scarier parts of the trail on other nights.
News and resources for home haunters, professional haunted attraction owners, and haunt enthusiasts. They also offer tutorials and resources.
The Canadian Haunted Attractions Conference
The next professional Canadian haunters convention will take place April 12-14, 2013 in Hamilton, Ontario. It's also open to Halloween enthusiasts, F/X and Halloween makeup artists.
The Halloween Trolley
"Halloween tours on the Blood Red Trolley." Located in Pensacola, Florida.
