DARK ART:

Anathema Photography

Danielle's photographs capture the world of horror, humour and erotica. She lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. Many of the photographs here are deliciously bloody - you'll love it! You can check out her most recent work on her blog.

Anathema Photography, on Facebook

A doll artist who creates incredibly creepy art dolls. "Crinkles" is really freaking me out right now. She also occasionally features one of her paintings from time to time. Her Etsy shop features her digital prints as well as some of the dolls.

Dorian's Parlor

A monthly club in Philadelphia. The participants are bohemians and socialites interested in "neo-vintage." House DJs include Dave Ghoul and DJ Kiltboy. Besides music, the event features vendors and craftspeople. The club is hosted at the Doubletree Hotel. (Hey, I've stayed there before!) The next event is Saturday, June 4, 2011.

DARK COMICS:

Bela Lugosi's Tales From the Grave

This comic is currently on issue #2. Not much here other than a few peeks at the pages and info on where to order it. I don't normally link to commercial pages about comics, so today is an experiment. Check out the blog for more info on this comic.

DARK EVENTS:

Draculacon III

This is a small one-day horror event held at the Grand Midway Hotel in Windber, Pennsylvania. $15 gets you in to see Kyra Schon, paranormal expert Rosemary Ellen Guiley, and religious demonologist Adam Blai. There are also several creepy bands playing and other authors in attendance.

DARK GAMES:

City of Eternals

This free-to-play game bills itself as "the world's first MMORPG set in a world of modern Vampires." They've tried to optimize the game for any platform so you can even run it on a cheap $200 netbook. The game has only 4,896 likes on Facebook so it might not be the most addictive game all your friends are playing.. but if you're bored and like vampires, you might enjoy checking it out really quickly.

Emerald Chronicles

A live action role-playing improv group in Seattle. They work in the worlds of Changeling: the Dreaming, Mage: The Ascension, Vampire: the Masquerade, and Werewolf: the Apocalypse. It's nice to see a really active group still in existence and having (making!) lots of fun.
