Dark Side of the Net: Joining the Darklinks Network

Dark Side of the Net is a private network. We're looking for interesting, smart, mature people to join, and we strive for a drama-free community. We welcome people who are here to contribute and take part in building the community, but not those who are just here to advertise their own website or event and then disappear.

You don't have to be a goth or give a shit about vampires to join, but you'll enjoy it more here if you are interested in darker literature, movies, music, fashion, lifestyles, etc. We strive to have a very friendly welcoming place here and we won't freak out if you don't self-identify as a goth.

Required: Profile Pic

To ensure this network has real actual people as members of the community, and active participants who will contribute posts and information, I now require you submit a profile picture and some information about other places on the net you visit, with your application to join.

It doesn't have to be a real profile pic of yourself if you are too shy or don't want your picture out there for privacy reasons. You shouldn't use a pic of another real person, but you can easily make an avatar to represent you from art, clipart, movie characters, or whatnot.

I also will not be approving membership profiles who do not provide a link to their own personal actual Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, blog or website. If sharing this info presents privacy problems for you, I totally understand - but I am reluctant to open my private network to someone who isn't comfortable sharing at least one of their profiles with us. I share a lot of private things here too, and I don't want to share that with complete strangers.

People have been denied membership here in the past for (dishonestly) claiming "Google.com" as "My website I personally own and operate." No, sorry, you aren't Sergey or Gregory.
